SOUTH KOREA (WKZO AM/FM) — The daughter of WMU Hockey Coach Andy Murray finds herself in the middle of a bid for peace between North and South Korea and she reportedly has mixed feelings about it.
Apparently negotiations on the Korean Peninsula have produced a plan to involve North Korea in the Winter Olympics.
It would involve sending a delegation of musicians, cheer leaders, a pairs skating team, and female hockey players who would join South Korea’s Hockey team and compete.
South Korea’s President said a joint Women’s Olympic ice hockey team would move the hearts of people around the world, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the White House says there is a lot riding on it.
But Sarah Murray who is head coach of that team says she may have to bump some members of her own National Squad to do it, and she is asking the IOC, if they approve the joint team, that they also let her expand her roster to include all of her team plus the North Koreans.
