INGHAM COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — The victims of Larry Nassar continued to face him down, including some Olympic medalists on Friday.
One by one they are coming forward, some for the first time, to tell their stories in an Ingham County Courtroom, and despite Nassar’s protests, with over 120 young women signed up to give victim impact statements now, it will likely continue into Tuesday.
Despite a growing number of calls from lawmakers, the student body and others for MSU President Lou Anna Simon to resign or be removed because of the MSU’s handling of the Nassar Scandal, Trustees are standing by her, offering a brief statement yesterday saying they still feel she is the best person for the job.
Board Chair Brian Breslin announced they have decided to ask the Attorney General to look into the University’s role in Nassar’s crimes. He acknowledge that they have come off as tone deaf and insensitive.
The Attorney General’s office late in the day said they would comply with their request to investigate.
