KENT COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) –Investigators looking into the murder of 16-year-old Mujay Dumbaya have now charged the girlfriend of Quinn James with perjury for apparently not telling detectives the truth when brought in under an investigative subpoena.
It has not been revealed what she said or why they think it wasn’t the truth.
26-year-old Tiara Burnett was a night custodian at Rockford Schools. James was a grounds keeper and Dumbaya a student.
James remains a subject of investigation in Dumbaya’s murder. Dumbaya accused James of rape, and was set to testify against him next month, before she turned up dead, her body dumped along a trail in Kalamazoo.
