LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Governor Snyder is ordering all U.S. and Michigan flags to be lowered to half-staff Monday in honor of a former State Representative.
Representative Maxine Berman passed away from lung cancer Friday and a memorial service will be held Monday afternoon in Southfield.
She held a seat in the Legislature for 14 years and was also inducted into the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame advocating for women’s health back in 2015.
Michiganders are encouraged to display the flag at half-staff today and return it to full staff tomorrow.
