KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Dozens of nurses worried about their jobs and their ability to help their patients demonstrated in front of Borgess Hospital concerned about their futures and the future of their patients.
They are concerned that what the Hospital’s parent company has done at other hospitals, reducing nursing staff, saying it could happen here.
Nurse’s Union President Jamie Brown says the more patients they are required to care for, the less quality they can deliver.
Ascension Health has issued a standard statement saying they continually review staffing models to ensure efficiency while providing the highest quality and most compassionate care but they don’t comment on personnel matters.
