LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — A new poll suggests that by two to one Michigan’s voters want the current members of the Michigan State University Board of Trustees to resign.
The Market Research Group poll of 600 likely voters found that 49% say their handling of the Larry Nassar Scandal was unacceptable.
27% say they should stay and make things better and the rest were undecided.
The Michigan State Board is one of only three boards in the state that is selected by the voters.
Democrats and residents of the Lansing area were more likely to endorse wholesale resignations than other groups.
Only two seats on the board are up for election this November and both incumbents have already said they are stepping down.
It may be the first time in a long time that voters pay attention to the race.
