LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Next week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Michigan.
Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division is encouraging everybody to be a part of a voluntary statewide tornado drill at 1:00 p.m. April 11, 2018.
While tornadoes can occur any time of the year, they are especially common during the late spring and early summer months.
Tornados can devastate homes and property in just seconds. You only have a few minutes to react when a warning is issued.
Knowing where to go and what to do when a warning is issued could save your life.
