KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers are releasing the name of the victim in last weekend’s murder on the city’s Northside, but they don’t seem close to making an arrest.
26-year-old Terrance Swinney of Kalamazoo was shot during a party at a home in the 900 block of North Burdick Street around 4 a.m. Saturday.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Captain Shannon Bagley says they just aren’t getting cooperation from others in attendance at that party.
Swinney was the father of five and an amateur mixed-martial arts fighter hoping to become a professional.
Bagley says they are renewing their call for anyone to come forward and give them the information they need to identify the suspect in this murder.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 269-337-8139 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100.
