LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — Oral arguments will be heard Wednesday at the State Supreme Court that could decide whether Michigan school districts have the right to ban guns.
It’s a case that has been working its way up through the system since 2015, when a man attending a school concert in Ann Arbor openly wore a holstered pistol, utilizing what many say is a loophole in the state’s gun restrictions.
The Ann Arbor School Board banned all guns after the concerns the incident raised.
Kalamazoo Schools have taken a strong stand against guns on any kind on their campuses, one that was recently reinforced following the Parkland, Florida shooting.
