PAVILION TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — The name of the man who was fatally shot at the Pavillion Estates Mobile Home Park on Wednesday has been released and he had an extended history of conflicts with police.
State Prison records show that 48-year-old David Teneyuque had a criminal history dating back 20-years for breaking and entering and home invasion, including resisting an officer and obstruction of Justice.
Then he reoffended in 2013, fleeing and eluding and obstructing officers, and was sent back to prison.
Undersheriff James Van Dyken says from the preliminary reports, the action of the officers to open fire appeared to be justified.
The suspect apparently made a move officers felt was threatening and police opened fire. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Teneyuque’s girlfriend, Chrystal Cortney was arrested on unrelated charges.
