HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Two centerpiece attractions are among the Tulip Time Festival’s events set for today, Saturday, May 12, 2018:
Muziekparade, 2 p.m. Eighth Street: The last of the festivals major joyous street gatherings, the Quality Car Wash Muziekparade steps off at 2 p.m. on what is festival organizers are calling Mighigan’s longest parade route. More than 4,000 are in the parade (among the 170 units, look for WHTC and The Van’s truck) and many more thousand line the route, from Eighth Street and Columbia Avenue to Kollen Park.
The Petoskey Steel Drum Band will perform a post-parade show at 3:30 p.m., on the corner of Eighth Street and College Avenue.

FIreworks, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Kollen Park (off Van Raalte Avenue, between 10th and 13th streets): Considered Tulip Time Festival’s grand finale, tonight’s fireworks are a free, family friendly tradition based at Kollen Park. Andrew Kinsler will be performing from the bandshell and Sam the Wild Wheeler — fresh from his Muziekparade appearance — will entertain before the fireworks. Food trucks will be present.
