HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Township resident Christian Steven Bracamontes, 21, is in the Ottawa County Jail on felony firearm charges after allegedly attempting an armed robbery on Riley Street, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett.
“It appears as though the suspect was intent on stealing the victim’s designer bag,” Bennett said. “During the encounter, several shots were fired by the suspect.”
The 31-year-old Holland Township victim was unharmed and able to describe the suspect and his vehicle to police, who arrested the man and recovered what they later learned was a stolen handgun, Bennett said.
Bracamontes, who faces armed robbery and other gun charges, remains in Ottawa County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
