KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The weather was absolutely perfect for a downtown arts festival in Kalamazoo, and big crowds were reported both Friday and Saturday for Art on the Mall and the big juried Kalamazoo Institute of Arts event in Bronson Park.
The weekend of events concludes with the first concert of the Summer Series in Bronson Park featuring the Kalamazoo Singers, a fifty voice choir under the direction of Richard Phelps.
The recently modified park should provide more space for concert goers immediately in front of the Rotary Stage.
The reflecting pool has been filled in with soil and covered with grass until a permanent redesign for the park is finalized.
