HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Michigan’s Sixth District Congressman, Fred Upton, is back to work in Washington D.C. – and focused on getting a Great Lakes budget amendment approved.
Upton has cosponsored a bill to fund a study of Asian Carp movement and how to keep the invasive species out of the Great Lakes.
Upton wants to see the release of the Brandon Road Lock and Dam evaluation, which he calls an essential next step to ensure safeguard Michigan’s $7 billion fishing industry, $16 billion boating industry, and $18 billion hunting and wildlife observation industry.
