HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) — A warrant has been issued for former Macatawa Area Transit director Linda LeFebre, who is accused of embezzlement.
According to court records, she faces charges of embezzling more than $20,000 from MAX transit coffers.
She was initially put on paid leave while police investigated the transit system’s banking practices and the possibility of embezzlement.
She resigned April 26, 2018.
MAX Transit currently has two interim co-directors: customer service and marketing manager Beth Higgs is sharing executive duties with operations manager Derek Broadbent.
