NEWTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Three suspects are at large following a Calhoun County home invasion Tuesday morning where the occupants of a home were held at gunpoint and tied up.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says it happened at around 4:35 a.m. in the 7000 block of Division Drive west of Beadle Lake Road.
They say the suspects stole electronic and jewelry items. They then stole a vehicle from the garage, but it was later abandoned about two miles from the home and recovered.
The victims were an 84-year-old male and female and a 13-year-old female.
No injuries were reported. Investigators say the 13-year-old managed to free herself and flee to a neighbor’s home to call 911.

Two of the three suspects were men. One was five-foot-ten inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a baseball hat, a white hoodie pulled over his head and wavy green/brown camo pants.
A second suspect was described as a black male who was five-foot-ten inches tall with a skinny build. He was wearing a black hoodie pulled over his head and light-colored blue jeans
The description of the third suspect is unknown.
