UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — It may seem like the Fourth of July Holiday has begun, but Michigan Fireworks laws restrict use of the devices to the day before, the day of and the day after the actual holiday, usually from 8 am to midnight.
Kalamazoo Public Safety would prefer that if you have complaints about fireworks or noise complaints, that you use their non-emergency number, and not tie up the 9-1-1 lines. That number is 269-337-8120.
The best option may be to leave the fireworks to the professionals and go see a big show. There are plenty of them around this year, and they are on several different nights.
