FLINT, MI (WTVB) – New test results show a significant amount of the most at-risk homes in Flint well below the federal action level for lead for two consecutive years. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality says the results include the first six months of this year.
Ninety-percent of the homes tested are at or below six-parts-per-billion of lead, far under the federal threshold of 15 ppb.
DEQ officials add that to ensure the water quality in the city is maintained, people are being encouraged to keep fresh water flowing through the distribution system.
