LOUISVILLE, KY (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo native that sparked the Larry Nassar investigation is welcoming a new baby girl with a special name.
Rachael Denhollander and her husband Jacob made the announcement of their 4th child on Friday.
Denhollander was one of the first Larry Nassar victims to publicly accuse the MSU doctor of sexual abuse, a spokesperson for the survivors, and was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.
She is now a practicing attorney in Kentucky.
The couple named the baby Elora Renee Joy, after MSU Detective Lt. Andrea Renee Munford, who was the first to work with them to press the case against Nassar.
It may also explain why she wasn’t on stage at the ESPY’s when the Nassar survivors were honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.
