(STURGIS) – Sturgis Police are looking for the man who got away with an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday morning when the Sturgis Bank and Trust branch on South Centreville Road was robbed.
They say it happened at about 10:25 a.m. and it’s believed a weapon was displayed.
The suspect was described as a five-foot-seven black male with a thin build who was wearing baggy clothes. He was said to be wearing a blue jacket, sunglasses, a hoodie up over his head and a bandana covering his face.
The getaway vehicle may have been an early 2000’s gold GM model car which was last seen heading south on South Centreville Road.
No one in the bank at the time of the robbery was injured.
The F.B.I. along the Michigan State Police and the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department are assisting with the investigation.
Sturgis Bank and Trust is offering a reward for information that will to the apprehension of the suspect.
