PORTER TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) –They were dealing in drugs, but they certainly were not getting rich from the enterprise.
Cass County’s Drug Enforcement Team got a warrant and searched a property on Guyer St. after they got a tip that Meth was being sold there.
Six people were discovered to be living on the property, supporting their habits with sales.
A woman was found living in a tent, a man was living in the bed of a pick-up and another man found living in a shed.
Methamphetamine will do that to people.
One was found hiding in a well pit. Officers seized meth, heroin, paraphernalia, cash, two handguns and a number of stolen items on the property.
Four men and a woman have been charged with various possession, distribution, gun and stolen property charges and lodged in the Cass County Jail.
