HOLLAND STATE PARK (WHTC-AM/FM) — A National Weather Service beach hazards advisory remains in effect through tonight for the Lake Michigan shoreline in Allegan, Ottawa and Van Buren, counties.
You may not be able to swim or walk the piers — those are life-threatening pursuits today — but if you can brave the 25 mph wind gusts and stinging sand, you’ll see something pretty cool, according to Holland State Park visitors Tuesday evening.
Cutlerville resident Minerva DeVries, who regularly vacations on the Lakeshore, made a special trip to Holland State Park to see the weather.
She said the waves were the biggest she’d ever seen.
This beach hazards advisory remains in effect through Wednesday evening, Aug. 22, 2018.
