DEARBORN (WKZO AM/FM) — We still have to get through the Labor Day holiday, which may have some effect on the price of gas, but National Pollster Trilby Lundberg thinks the general trend for pump prices is downward.
AAA of Michigan reports that gas prices sank much lower during the week and then snapped back into the $2.90’s by week’s end, winding up four cents higher than they were the Friday before last at $2.94/gallon on average.
Nationally gas prices are down by two cents and Lundberg says that’s where she thinks we are headed next.
She says if crude prices remain steady and demand shrinks, as it usually does in September, then prices should fall.
Nationally the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular is $2.91cents.
