GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) — Services are set for the late Richard DeVos Senior, the Amway co-founder who died Thursday.
Public visitation is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wedneday, and 4 to 8 Wednesday evening. at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel at 187 Monroe Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, in the Ambassador’s ballroom.
Funeral services, which will be streamed online for those who cannot attend, are set for 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the DeVos Performance Hall, at 303 Monroe Ave. NW in Grand Rapids.
Zeeland Representative Bill Huizenga took to the House Floor in Congress to remember Rich DeVos’ influence on West Michigan, remembering him for supporting education, especially Grand Valley State Univeristy, but also Hope and Calvin colleges; for supporitng the arts, including his grandson Rick DeVos’ ArtPrize; and for remaining true to his roots, despite how wealthy he became.
