KALAMAZOO,MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a violent collision in Cooper Township that has cost a Kalamazoo man his life and may mean charges for the at-fault driver, who survived.
Deputies say the two collided at 14th Street and D. Avenue just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, when an 83-year-old failed to yield to a 60 year old who was east on D. Avenue.
The impact sent the younger man’s vehicle into a rollover and the driver was partially ejected
. He was rushed to Borgess Medical Center where he died a few hours later.
The older driver suffered only minor injuries.
Investigators will complete their investigation and submit the report to the Prosecutor’s office.
