KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating an elderly man with dementia that may be in danger.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say 74-year-old Robert E. Sumney of Colon was last seen around 11:00 a.m. Monday leaving Bronson hospital and was planning to go to Minnesota, but he has not been seen since.
Sumney is a white man, about 6’2,” with wavy grey hair and blue eyes and he was last seen wearing a beige shirt, black jeans, and black shoes.
He also left the hospital in a white 2015 Buick Verano with a Michigan license plate of DXZ3579.
Deputies say Sumney has dementia, can easily become confused or agitated, and may have a handgun.
