UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) — The City of Grand Rapids Clerk’s Office is seeking workers for Election Day. The midterm elections are Tuesday, Nov. 6.
“This is a great way for individuals to give back to our community and earn money doing so,” City Clerk Joel Hondorp said in a statement issued by the city. “Election workers are key to us providing a smooth voting process for our residents. They also help us maintain the integrity of elections.” Election workers must be U.S. citizens, 16 or older and a registered voter if at least 18.
Bilingual individuals who speak English and Spanish and those with computer skills are desired. Election workers also must be willing to attend a pre-elections training and work 6 a.m. to at least 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Election workers earn between $150 and $175 on Election Day. They also are paid for training.
