HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A cold front expected this evening will carry 15 to 25 mph winds, gusting to 35 mph, cooler temperatures and dangerous lake conditions, according to a National Weather Service bulletin.
A beach hazards statement is in effect from midnight Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, through Wednesday evening all along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The high winds will create life-threatening current action, including rip currents and waves 5 to 8 feet — and the chilly air conditions will make for colder lake temperatures.
