LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Some people are questioning an old video that has surfaced of Bill Schuette that he calls a poor attempt at humor and embarrassing.
In the 1989 clip he makes suggestive comments to a woman behind the camera who is about to interview him.
When she asks him to move closer to the lamp he says, “I’ll do anything you want, some things I may not let you run the camera on.”
Schuette says it must have been shot before he met his wife, who has since straightened him out, but he admits it’s embarrassing.
Gretchen Whitmer was quoted as saying, “I imagine everyone who’s watched it had the same uncomfortable look on our faces. But even more troubling is the fact that Schuette has spent the past 33 years in office attacking the rights of women and working to take away our access to contraception and health care.”
