UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — The Mega Millions Jackpot will continue to grow after no one came up with the numbers to win Tuesday night’s record-breaking $667-million jackpot.
Michigan Lottery Spokesman Jeff Holyfield says the combination of the two major national lotteries both reaching into the stratosphere tends to snowball on itself and more people will run out to buy tickets.
The numbers drawn Tuesday night were 3-45-49-61-69 and the Mega Ball was 9.
The jackpot for Friday’s Mega Millions game has now jumped to $900-million, making it the largest in U.S. lottery history.
The Michigan Lottery says if a Michigan player wins Friday’s $900-million jackpot, it would be the largest Mega Millions prize ever won in the state and the largest ever Michigan Lottery prize.
Wednesday night’s Powerball game is up to $345-million.
