DETROIT (WKZO AM/FM) — The Border Patrol is issuing strong warnings about Americans bopping over the border to buy marijuana in Canada, now that it’s legal there.
The Director of Border Patrol Operations in Michigan, Christopher Perry says don’t you do it, and especially don’t try to sneak it back.
Meanwhile our neighbors to the north may soon be running ads enticing Americans to do just that.
They are anticipating a big boom in what has already been dubbed, “Pot Tourism.”
There are already cafés in Toronto where a coffee and a blunt are welcome and retail outlets where there are more strains of pot than Baskin-Robbins has flavors.
They have been looking at the Dutch experience with legalized drugs, and California where you can now embark on organized wine and marijuana tours through farm country.
