CASS COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — Seat belts may have prevented injuries, even saved the life of a woman from Elkhart who lost control of her car in the 65,000 block of M-40, near Jones in Porter Township.
Cass County Deputies say 31-year-old Amanda Bolen lost control of her Ford Contour, went off the roadway and into a field were the car rolled over several times just before 5pm Thursday.
The stopped rolling upside down, landing on its roof. Her restraints prevented her from being thrown from the wreck.
She was extricated and transported to Three Rivers Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
