TEXAS TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Valley Community College held installation ceremonies for their new President yesterday afternoon at the Texas Township Campus.
Dr. L. Marshall Washington most recently served as the President of a college in West Virginia, and is familiar with the area, once having worked as the Vice President of Student Services at Kellogg Community College in Grand Rapids.
He says his biggest challenge and prime mission is to continue to expand their vocational programs, and to secure the funding for them.
The inaugural event was held at the Texas Township Campus.
The public will have a chance to meet President Washington and his Family at an event from 8:30 to 11 this morning at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum at their downtown campus.
