KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — All signs indicate that voters remain energized as we approach the mid-term election.
Kalamazoo Township Clerk Mark Miller says absentee voters are already requesting and returning ballots at an accelerated pace.
In fact, the state says absentee ballot requests as of late last week were up 22-percent compared to the 2014 election.
Mark Grebner of Lansing’s Practical Political Consulting is projecting turnout to be 4.2-million voters, which would be up by one-million from 2014.
Grebner tells The Detroit News there is a lot of enthusiasm, and people are voting absentee to avoid lines on November 6.
