HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Department of Public Safety, in an email to media, have identified the Oct. 20, 2018, suspect in the 14th Street sex assault case as Tristen Reyes, 31.
The assault happened around 2 a.m. on 14th Street near Lincoln, as two female Hope College students were walking back to campus.
Thanks to many tips from the public, police were able to identify and question him, as well as ask Ottawa County Prosecutors Office for the following two felony criminal sexual assault charges: assault with intent to commit sexual penetration and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
But since the warrant was issued. police have been unable to find Reyes.Out of concern for public safety, police are again asking for the public’s help in finding Reyes. In the surveillance image released by police that led to finding him, Reyes had a mustache, which detectives believe he has since shaved.
