LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — The battle for light and dark will be played out once again on the lawn of the State Capitol this Holiday Season as a group of Satanists called the West Michigan Friends of the Satanic Temple will put out a statue of Baphomet, a Goat Head figure with a halo on Friday.
Yesterday, Senator Rick Jones began his daily holiday ritual of putting up a small nativity scene on the Capitol lawn.
Capitol rules require that it be taken down each day by 9 pm and put up again the next morning.
The term limited Senator from Grand Ledge has made arrangements for another Senator to take over Nativity duty next year.
