PAW PAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A wanted fugitive from Kalamazoo was arrested early Wednesday in Van Buren County. Authorities pulled a vehicle over for not having a license plate at around 2:00 a.m. along M-51 in Paw Paw Township.
Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies say the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. But then they learned that a 58-year-old passenger was a convicted felon and wanted on an outstanding warrant. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found a stolen firearm.
The suspect was taken to the Van Buren County Jail and his name has not been released.
