CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) — Even though gas prices in Michigan are at their highest level since 2014, averaging $3.27 a gallon, you might be able to find a better deal. Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy says some stations are sell gas at prices well below average.
“You can find it as low as $2.89 or as high as $3.59, so (it’s) a pretty wide spread between stations. It’s fairly common. A lot of it has to do with factors such as where a station buys its gas from and on what day of the week.”
DeHaan says with production reportedly ramping through 2022, he expects prices should start to fall a little bit this week. AAA reported Monday that as long as crude oil remains high, prices will likely stay above $3.00 per gallon for the rest of the summer season.
