SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Authorities are investigating a local restaurant in Saugatuck after receiving information that a five-year-old child was served an alcoholic drink.
The Saugatuck-Douglas Police Department says the child was served the alcoholic drink on Friday, July 14, at a local restaurant in the 0- 100 block of Butler Street in the city of Saugatuck. WOOD TV 8 is reporting that the restaurant is The Butler which is located at 40 Butler Street.
Investigation shows that the child was mistakenly served the wrong drink by restaurant staff.
The child was transported to Holland Hospital, treated and released. The incident remains open and under investigation.
