DEARBORN (WKZO-AM/FM) — AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Michigan is up to $2.48.
That’s up eight cents from last week. It’s also the second-consecutive weekly increase. “It’s summertime, so people are driving around and enjoying our great state,” auto club spokesperson Susan Hiltz said. “If you look at that, there’s strong demand.”
Hiltz also said crude prices are generally on the rise.
The early Monday average was $2.49 in Kalamazoo, $2.52 in Grand Rapids and $2.50 in Lansing, according to GasBuddy.com.
