EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Concussion numbers are falling in high school sports in the state. The Michigan High School Athletic Association’s annual report shows an eleven-percent decline last school year compared to the year before, with a total of just under 4,000 head injuries confirmed. The MHSAA says that comes out to about one-point-four percent of all high school athletes.
The most were in football, followed by hockey, girls soccer, boys wrestling, girls basketball, and girls competitive cheer.
