FLINT, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Singer Bruno Mars has announced he is making a donation to help the residents of Flint.
During his concert Saturday nifght at the Palace of Auburn Hills, he announced a one-million-dollar donation to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint.
In a statement issued by Mars, he says it’s important that we don’t forget about our brothers and sisters affected by this disaster.
Flint has been dealing with lead-contaminated water for the past three years. A movie on the water crisis will air on Lifetime October 28 starring Queen Latifah. The film is based on the story of several activists in the city that brought the water crisis to a national level, including Flint resident Melissa Mays.
