GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A new Michigan House Mental Health Task Force is coming to Grand Rapids this week to gather information about mental healthcare, housing, and job training.
The hearing will be held at Hope Network in Grand Rapids. The information gathered at the meeting will hopefully influence the bipartisan House C.A.R.E.S task force to make better decisions about mental health legislature, according to Republican Representative Hank Vaupel, of Fowlerville.
“There are some really good practices out there and we would like to follow up on them, to have some uniformity throughout the state.” Rep. Vaupel said. “We’re very optimistic that this will not just be a taskforce that compiles some data and then walks away.”
This free, public event will be held at 10 a.m. at Hope Network, located at 775 36th St. SE in Grand Rapids.
