WHITE CLOUD, MI (WHTC) – It’s a case that made national headlines when a couple’s pet parrot was the only witness to a murder.
A west Michigan woman is headed to prison for the rest of her life without parole for killing her husband. On Monday, August 28, Glenna Duram of Sand Lake was sentenced after being convicted of first-degree murder last month.
In May of 2015, she shot and killed Martin Duram and then tried to kill herself by shooting herself in the head, but survived. Their pet parrot kept repeating not to shoot in his voice after his ex-wife took ownership of the bird following his death.
