LAWTON, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – State Senator Tonya Schuitmaker is running for Michigan attorney general.
The term-limited Republican Senator from Van Buren County was a private practice attorney for a decade before being elected to the House and Senate. Tonya is a graduate of Mattawan Consolidated High School. She holds a B.A. in business from Michigan State University and a J.D. from the Detroit College of Law, where she graduated cum laude.
If elected, the lifelong resident of Southwest Michigan says she’ll continue to serve as a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, law-and-order conservative who defends the Constitution and fights against federal government overreach.
Sehuitmaker has also released a video on her website announcing her run for Senator.
