WAYLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 46-year-old Michigan State Police trooper stationed in Wayland has died.
Trooper Ray Hoffman passed away Tuesday, September 26. He had been in the hospital since March. Hoffman suffered from heart complications related to a heart attack he had six years ago. For more than 20 years, Hoffman worked at the Wayland post. He is being remembered for working with child victims of neglect and abuse.
He is survived by his loving wife Pam; his children Chase, Arika, and Nick Hoffman and the funeral is Saturday in Byron Center at Saint Sebastian Catholic Church.
