KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The preliminary investigation into the death of a 22-year-old Traverse City woman found dead in her van on the bottom of the Boardman River suggests that heroin use may have been involved.
They found needles and spoons in the van of Morgan Elmer.
While there were no signs of trauma on the body of the young woman found during an autopsy in Kalamazoo, toxicology tests are pending.
They are investigating whether she may have slammed the vehicle into Park after driving the vehicle down a boat ramp and into the river, but may never know.
