MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – One week before the first week of trial in the Rebecca Blestch murder case, a judge is denying a motion by accused serial killer Jeffrey Willis.
On Tuesday, October 10, Judge William Marietti denied the motion to suppress evidence in the 2014 murder of Rebekah Blestch. Willis’ attorney is arguing when Willis’ home was searched last year that investigators lacked probable cause. On Willis’ computer investigators found a “victim’s” folder with photos of Bletstch and murder pornography.
Yesterday the judge turned down the request. Judge Marietti says the warrant used to search Willis’ van also applied to his home.
The Bletsch trial begins next Tuesday. Willis is also accused of killing Jessica Heeringa in 2013 and attempting to kidnap a teen girl last year.
