BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) – After 14 unsolved armed robberies in the Battle Creek area, police agencies are teaming up for a targeted joint response, and they are also asking for others to pitch in.
They have asked the media to publicize pictures taken from surveillance cameras at the businesses that have been victimized.
They are asking the businesses to put on extra staff around closing time and overnight shifts and they are asking the public to come forward if they know anything.
They are putting up a $1000 reward for information.
They say they have two robbers in custody. The suspect the others were either pulled off by a white male wearing a Skeleton mask, or a white or Hispanic male wearing a blue bandana over his face and brandishing a silver handgun.
The Major Crimes Task Force is now on the case and they will be focusing on putting an end to the careers of the serial stick-up men .
