LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — The lawyers for scandalized gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar are asking the judge to hold Attorney General Bill Schuette in contempt of court for failing to enforce the Judge’s gag order.
As recently as just last week, a former Olympic gymnast was speaking publically about the Doctor and claims that he molested her too in the guise of treatments.
Nassar’s lawyers say the prosecution had a list of all the women they might call and was supposed to notify them that the gag order was in effect. They claim instead he let them give interviews and erode Dr. Nassar’s case in public. The Judge issued the gag order to
They want Schuette cited and two of the women on the prosecution’s witness list barred from testifying. Nassar is due to go on trial on nearly two dozen criminal sexual conduct charges in early December.
